What is bouldering?

Bouldering

Bouldering is a style of climbing which takes place low down on the ground, it emphasizes power, stregth and dynamics. It looks more at individual moves unlike traditional or sport climbs which focus on the endurance and mind games.

Boulderer’s often refer to the routes as problems because the nature of the climb is often short, curious and much like solving a problem.

Bouldering is taking off now more than ever. It is possibly climbing in its purist form using minimal equipment to get to the top of a boulder.

The climbing is done using a pair of boots and a chalkbag with a mat at the bottom to break you’re fall.

The climbing is usually no higher the 4 meters, although often much smaller.
